More Awards!

We just got back from the Regional CGMA Awards and brought home three Silver Heart awards, Bluegrass Artist of the Year, Instrumentalist of the Year, and Young Performer of the Year. From here we went to Cody WY for the Cody Stampede again. We performed at the City Park and also at the Buffalo Bill Museum. Now, at home for a short time, we are getting ready for the Balyeat Family Reunion at Holland Lake.

Woo Hoo! Awards for the Balyeat Family!

Bob brought home a special letter yesterday announcing that our "You Gotta Stand" Cd has been awarded "Best Family Gospel Album of the Year" by the Rural Roots Music Association. We will be traveling to the 35th Annual National Old-Time Country and Bluegrass Festival in Le Mars, IA- Aug. 30th thru Sept. 5th this summer to sing and receive this award. The Balyeat house was pretty excited yesterday!

Excitement at Home

Excitement is hardly a big enough word for it! Bob had us all praying like crazy last week when he lost his memory of events last week for 6 - 12 hours!

Home Again!

We arrived home again the last couple days of March with a light singing schedule for April designed to let me catch up the girls on homeschooling and give James and Amanda a break to visit family and friends in North and South Dakota, work on the ranch where James has his cattle ( which now number 4 !) and sing by themselves seven times. This was a good experience for them and refreshing as well. We did a Resurrection set with just the girls that we had only 2 days to craft and practice!

Mexico on You Tube

Isaac videoed several of the Mexico perfromances. You can view two of them on You Tube at the following addresses: Orange Blossom at

Pittsburg Kanasa

God opened up the doors to share in Kansas and Missouri in new places and bonded us together with new brothers and sisters in Christ this last week. We sang 3 times in 5 days at very different gatherings within a 60 mile radius. But, the Spirit of Christ is the same. He brings us together to edify one another and reach the world. You can hear a sample service that we sang at one their website at the Cornerstone Family Church, (http://sites.google.com/site/cfcpittsburg/home ( chose LISTEN from the side bar menu and find March 8th 2010 in the archives if it is not the first recorded message.)

Mexico Outreach

Our days in Mexico were amazing! 16 days... 11 singing engagements...more friends... and many open doors. Praise God! I wish I could have blogged each day!

Mexico

Well, here we are. We head for the Mexican interior tomorrow with the Schubert family. We appreciate your prayers. Here is a website that has a calendar of our schedule there. http://www.my.calendars.net/frontiersoffaith/d01/02/2010?display=M&style...

There will be some changes along the road, but this is a good rule of thumb for you to be able to locate us.

After the Wedding

We are singing together down in Arizona! It is such a pleasure to have Amanda along. We have been singing at RV Parks and church groups in the area with great response. Now we are gathering around the campfire with several friends from around the country for a week of fellowship inbetween concerts. Keep us in your prayers as we anticipate our trip to Mexico in just a few weeks.
